Kendra Scott Partnership

Jewelry maker Kendra Scott will donate 20% of sales on any Kendra Scott items purchased with the code GIVEBACK-CVCDQ to Milwaukee-based nonprofit HIR Wellness on November 5 & 6 2022. Additionally, the company invited the HIR Wellness team to create a signature line of custom jewelry that was inspired by the resilience and healing power of the survivors that HIR Wellness serves.

Kendra Scott sought out HIR Wellness based on their shared histories of resilience and HIR Wellness’ commitment to serving victims of crime. Sadly, murder is the third leading cause of death for Native women, with the rate ten times higher than the national average for women living on reservations. Across north America (including Canada), murders of Native American women occur at an unrelenting rate, not tracked by data, media or law enforcement. As a survivor-founded organization, HIR Wellness identifies and addresses the historical and intergenerational traumas brought onto the Native American population, including violence.

Kenosha native Kendra Scott began her company while on medical leave, with only $500 in savings, which has grown into a multi-billion industry. To give back, Kendra Scott partnered with HIR Wellness to create three pieces of stunning jewelry to raise awareness around violence against women: the Nadia, Maddie, and Elton.

The Nadia

A set of earrings that represents our medicines, mother earth, and the grandfather teaching of humility. Mismatched Abalone Shell and Ivory Mother of Pearl stones to keep us humble in our ways.

The Maddie

An adjustable necklace that honors our relatives past, present and future with earthy medicine wheel colors of Burnt Sienna Howlite and Abalone Shell.

The HIR Wellness line will still be available for purchase after the weekend event running onNovember 5th and 6th, 2022 with the code GIVEBACK-CVCDQ but 20% of proceeds will no longer benefit HIR Wellness after these dates.
