INTEGRATED MEDICINE:
A Practice Based Evidence (PBE) Approach
Our goal is to address the gap to care that exist in offering accessible and affordable mental health services for Indigenous and underserved communities. This is done through creating purposeful internship experience that is guided by our field instructors training new professionals on how to best serve victims of crime who often present with complex trauma histories.
Our approach embodies teachings from many spaces, including those in the Professional Counselor, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Advocacy experts who specialize in working with relatives who are impacted by Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, Human Trafficking, and Sexual Assault. In addition our interns have the opportunity to further their clinical learning through electing to join our piloted Neurosequential Model of Therapeutic (NMT) Seedling informed practice sessions.

We practice an intergenerational, inclusive, and integrated medicine approach that engages with ancestral, cultural, and traditional ways with those disciplines of today.
HIR Wellness establishes interdisciplinary, integrated medicine through our CAM™ & CAMPsites™, Podcast, CAM™ Events, and CAM™ Master Class.
