Mental Health Without Borders
Bringing Care to Every Corner
This Is What’s Been Missing:
Milwaukee and Tribal communities continue to face alarming gaps in access to quality mental health care. According to the CDC, 1 in 5 U.S. adults live with a mental illness, and rates of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders are significantly higher in Indigenous and underserved communities. In Wisconsin alone, more than 60% of adults with mental health conditions receive no treatment at all. Our innovative model breaks down traditional barriers to access, making mental health care more responsive, flexible, and inclusive.
We offer:
-
On-the-ground mental health professionals trained in trauma-informed, culturally rooted frameworks
-
Interdisciplinary teams offering therapy, regulation, healing arts, advocacy, and wellness
-
Consistent, trusted presence in neighborhoods, schools, and community events
-
Support that builds community trust, relational wellness, and long-term resilience

Our approach is centered on mobilizing mental health providers to actively respond to the evolving needs of community care. By bringing together an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals and trained interns from diverse fields, we create an integrated, community-based network of mental health support. This team works within community spaces to deliver free, accessible mental health resources, screening tools, services, and advocacy—ensuring that help is available to children, youth, families, adults, and Elders alike.

Mobile Mental Health Clinic
Formerly the HIRWI CAMPsite Program, our Mobile Mental Health Clinics (MMHC) provide an innovative, community-focused approach to addressing mental health needs in neighborhoods affected by violence. By bringing licensed providers directly to community spaces and events, we ensure support is accessible, immediate, and responsive to those who need it most.

Mental Health Trainings & Workshops
We offer dynamic, evidence-informed trainings that help organizations growing a trauma-informed approach to healing-informed. Our programs emphasize practical strategies, hands-on learning, and culturally responsive approaches that empower teams to create safe, restorative, and resilient environments for those they serve.
