she | her | hers
Kristina saw the pain in her communities and decided that she would use her skills and ancestral knowledge to bring change to Indigenous communities around the globe through her voice and actions. This led her to HIR Wellness Institute, where she holds the role of Victims of Crime & Operations Manager. In her role, Kristina holds space and shares ways to return to a vibration of balance. She is one of our Reflection and Resilience facilitators and supports all of our programming. In her role at HIRWI, Kristina helps coordinate relative care and ensures that all operational tasks run smoothly.

Kristina is an Indigenous Woman from the Navajo Tribe and a survivor of violence. Kristina attended MATC for her associates and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating with a bachelor's degree in American Indian Studies. She has been working as a healer professionally since 2014 and continues to share her gifts at HIRWI.

Kristina believes that the CAM™ Framework is different from other therapeutic approaches because it is all-encompassing. She “pictures it as an umbrella that all other modalities can fall under. It is beyond a concept, for those who have been impacted, it transforms into a way of life. Kristina believes that CAM™ is livingness that breathes love and reciprocity into the livingness of people, spaces, places, and things. It can become the perceptual lens through which we see all our experiences through, in turn, the pivotal center point that we use to identify navigation and movement. We can come back to the CAM™ Framework to determine how we choose to engage and interact with others and the world around us. CAM™ and Mental Health Without Borders Approach™ embodies the highest amount of respect, care, and compassion at the forefront and deliver safety, trust, and healing. This healing of personal power occurs for the individual, but also for the environment. When enough people are touched by the medicine, we can begin to repair our communities, sew together the wounds that have plagued our families for generations, step into the state of being power-filled as a collective.
